| Does anyone still use this site? One of my friends got a bunch of us together to sing this oldschool song by Geoff Moore. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a_HYr_zP5lA Verse 1:
How do you explain,
How do you describe,
A love that goes from east to west,
And runs and deep as it is wide?
You know all our hopes
Lord, you know all our fears
And words cannot express the love we feel
But we long for You to hear
Chorus:
So listen to our hearts (oh, Lord, please listen)
Hear our spirits sing (and hear us sing)
A song of praise that flows (a simple song of praise)
From those You have redeemed (from those You have redeemed)
We will use the words we know
To tell You what an awesome God You are
But words are not enough
To tell You of our love
So listen to our hearts
Verse 2:
If words could fall like rain
From these lips of mine
And if I had a thousand years
I would still run out of time
So if You listen to my heart
Every beat would say,
“Thank You for the Life, thank You for the Truth, thank You for the Way.” | | |
| Now I know that I didn't know him personally, ever meet him, or even interact in any way this young man. But, what I did know was that he was some who went through a lot of things, troubled years with the law and things of that nature. What kept him safe and moving forward was the game of football. He was honored as an All-American at the University of Miami, and he quickly showed his tenacity for the game of football even at the professional level, earning himself his first trip to the Pro Bowl last year. He was so gifted physically and athletically, in superb shape... Even his troubled ways seemed to start melting away with the birth of his first child... Now, there is only tragedy. He passed away at the age of 24 today after being shot in the leg. He was as old as I am. Now, I don't want to disrespect the passing of another life, but I couldn't help but think with even more urgency... "what am I living MY life for?" "WHO am I living my life for?" You see, you can be in the best physical shape, you can have all these things going for you, but at ANY moment... it could all end... this is the frailty of our bodies, the frailty of our lives here on earth. Every minute counts... me, I want to make every minute count for ETERNITY... Lord, be with the Taylor family as they mourn their tragic loss... May you lead them to You even through these difficult circumstances. And Lord, help ME to live my life for YOU alone, you are the only ONE worth living for.

| Seriously though... does anyone still do xanga? Here's me and one of my cute Kindergarten students.. This was for Ancient Egypt Day at Canaan Academy's K-1 Classroom!! Every child got to play a part. We had soldiers, scribes, jewelers, and the PHARAOH... this is me and the mighty Egyptian ruler. Tell me that beard doesn't make you just smile, hahaha!
